Black Flag Search and Rescue has been working hard in the aftermath of recent hurricanes Harvey, Irma and now Maria.
Black Flag SAR recently joined hands with the volunteers assisting with resident verified donation stations, providing assistance for distribution, making supply drops, and connecting with others with the same focus and goals for the people of Puerto rico.
Black Flag SAR is committed to ethically dispersing relief donations where needed. The team has managed large scale food and water donations for Hurricane Harvey, Irma and Maria to disperse directly to communities.
Black Flag SAR has deployed to especially devastated parts of Puerto Rico to play an essential role in Search and Rescue operations. Upon arrival to PR transportation and a stable staging area for search and rescue procedures were challenging due to the widespread devastation from the storms.
Black Flag SAR situated a staging area and transport within the first day, with the help of the community and immediately begin direct actions, assisting in clearing roadways and relief efforts for nearby elderly while preparing to move further inland for much needed SAR efforts.
With the power and communications grids being down for the island, combined with the great need to clear passage to those areas cut off from transportation resulting in gridlock, preventing basic needs such as food, clean drinking water and medications from reaching many residents. Because of current conditions such as these, there are some immediate donations needed to equip our team for the urgent tasks at hand.
Black Flag SAR has joined efforts with several groups throughout projects beginning with hurricane Harvey in Texas, and they are currently coordinating efforts in Puerto Rico with multiple volunteer efforts.
We are an all volunteer organization, show your support today and make a true change for the people of Puerto Rico.
